Aksel Kolstad, internationally acclaimed virtuoso pianist, composer and stand-up comedian from Norway, wooed the sell out audience at Zebra Rock Gallery on 29th May 2012. Playing his own interpretations of the classical masters, Grieg, Rachmaninov and Bach, (see
Program below) he entertained with good humor and superb technique.

After playing for the "adults" he put on a
Children's Concert the next day where he played the part of Mozart and entertained 150 students at St Joseph's Catholic Primary School at the Leisure Centre in Kununurra. It was a gas. It was also the FIRST time he had performed the Children's Concert in English. It was superb. It was also one of the few occasions that the Shire's baby grande has been used.
We look forward to your return to Kununurra Aksel. Next time with more time (hopefully) to see our beautiful scenic sites.
