Stalagmites from Ning Bing range, WA inform about cyclones

Zebra Rock Gallery was visited by researchers from Cornell College, Iowa, USA who are researching stalagmites (Speleothem) from Western Australia for what they can tell us about tropical cyclones. Tamworth duome 'n' im
Graham and Lanceare two professional musicians who have been around the music scene for many years. We are fortunate in having them perform at The Rock following their gigs at El Questro and Emma Gorge.
The duo calls themselvesme 'n' im.The style of their music is quite varied within the genres ofCounty and also some rock (50'sthrough to the 70's), however the overall tempo and sets used can be varied on the run to "hold" the audience.
So come on out on Thursday 18 August and enjoy a BBQ under the stars by the upper Ord while Graham and Lance keep you entertained with some great music.

"Meet and Greet - with Jazz"

We welcomeDavid and Sandra Reesand friend Helen Humphries as visitors from Melbourne in early July. They are visiting to see the sights of the East Kimberley and Kununurra. Even better (for us) David has agreed to tickle the ivory on our grand piano at a private function onMonday July 4to meet and greet invited guests from Packsaddle and town. David is an accomplished jazz pianist. We are looking forward to his cool music. Should be a great introduction for our visitors to life at the 'Last Frontier'.

Zebra Rock Gallery a sponsor of Rotary Kununurra's Tag-Along Tour

This weekend, Bruce is acting as a marshal for the 4-WD Tag-Along Tour being organized by Rotary Kununurra. As part of the social events, participants are asked to write a poem around a given word and then to recite the poem at the campsite on Saturday night. The prize is a vase crafted from 600-million year old Zebra Rock, donated by Zebra Rock Gallery. It promises to be a fun weekend bashing through savannah country in the Victoria River District just over the WA / NT border.
